"The William Knorr" is a 34' Wayne Beal. A Downeast style boat designed by Calvin Beal. Built in Belfast Maine, these boats are used for lobster and commercial fishing and are extremely seaworthy. The full keel and almost flat bottom aft, produce an exceptional ride and make the boat very stable at sea. A lot less roll than your typical modified V shaped hull, which is great for fishing.
There's a fighting chair in the cockpit and the cockpit measures 12'-6" X 13'-0", so there's plenty of room for six anglers and a mate. The boat is diesel powered, air conditioned, heated, and equipped with a 5KW Northern Lights generator to power a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. There are 2 bunks down below for overnight trips, along with a full galley, enclosed head and shower.
There's comfortable seating in the wheel house for the ride out to the fishing grounds.
The vessel has all the latest USCG required safety gear. It's equipped with Raymarine 120 GPS Chart Plotter, Furuno 10" Color Sounder, 48 Mile Radar, Depth and Sea Temp Indicators, 3 VHS Radios, Auto Pilot, EPIRB and 8 Man USCG Approved Life Raft.
